Spring Training Rides

Team

Here is the Spring training ride schedule. These are open rides and open. This means you can bring friends along. We like new people.

Saturday/Sunday training rides

All rides will start at 9am and meet at 25 Mile and Shelby roads. These rides are for the overall conditioning of the group. We will maintain an enjoyable speed and breaks for the group.

April 21st (Saturday) - 16 miles - Ride two loops around Stoney Creek. We will ride into Stoney Creek from 25 mile road.
April 29th (Sunday) - 28 miles - Ride to Lake Orion and back. We may stop in Rochester Mills for a quick snack during the return trip.
May 5th (Saturday) - 40 miles - Ride out on the Clinton River Trail and back. This will take use Through Pontiac and on to the West Bloomfield Trail.
We may stop in Rochester Mills for a quick snack during the return trip.
May 12th (Saturday) - 50 miles - Ride out to Richmond on the Macomb Orchard Trail, this will also include a loop in Stoney Creek on the way out. We will look for a stop in Richmond for breakfast or something. This ride is all paved and good for road bikes. This will allow us to break in any hybird and road tires you may want to use for ZdM.
May 18-20 Zoo-de-Mack - 52 glorious miles

You may notice the mileage has increased a little bit this year for the Group rides. Yep, we need to be in better shape.

Tuesday Training rides

These will be focused on a total beat down and geared for maximal effort. These rides will include hill climbs and interval work. Coach Doak has offered to lead the rides for the group.

We will meet at 25 mile and Shelby roads at 6:30 pm.

I hope to see you there.
