WDW Half Marathon

I ran the Walt Disney World Half Marathon on Jan 7th, 5:30am. Yep that's early...

I ran this half marathon after walking the parks for the previous eight days. This was the beginning of Day nine.

I got up at 2:45am to shovel down some food and get on the bus about 3:10. The bus drove us over to the EPCOT parking lot. I arrived there are 3:45 and had to wait until 4:20 to walk the mile to the start line. I was in Corral B. Pretty good since they had corrals all the way back to E. Being up front means I didn't have to wait another 40 minutes to start. Score!!

Here I am about mile 12.8 in Epcot finishing the race, with some random dude. He was wearing a orange bib. This means he was running the full marathon the following day. This is called the Goofy challenge.
Overall this is a great race but very crowded so don't expect a great time with all the traffic.

Maybe someday I will run the Goofy Challenge... not likely!
